About the role

To assist Revenue Manager in the supervision of all activities pertaining to Core and Reservation Department in order to achieve the highest possible occupancy levels for the purpose of maximizing room revenues and profit. To be responsible in providing the leadership to motivate the Core and Reservations Team to excel in service delivery, optimize booking opportunities and promote customer retention and loyalty.

What you will do

  • Assist in rate loading in system. Monitor reservations requested by fax, internet and mail. Ensure that all guest information is input into the system accurately, completely and promptly.     

  • Assist with all guest inquiries within the sales and marketing department, including assisting with high telephone volume and walk-in site inspections.   

  • To coordinate and supervise on-going training for supervisors, agents and trainees on a continuous basis. Ensure that hourly employees are trained in company core values, job roles, responsibilities and technical and service aspects of the job. Communicated and instill company values and/or culture to new employees.                           

  • To constantly review room availability in relation to total rooms sold, opening and closing categories with a view to maximizing occupancy and revenue. Respond to any challenges found for accommodating rooming requests by communicating with guest or group contact, Sales Department or Front Desk. Oversee accuracy of room blocks and reservations.       

  • Use sales techniques when assisting guests in making reservations, including personalizing calls, obtaining complete guests needs, suggesting alternate dates, or directing guests to sister properties on sold out days.  

What you bring

  • Preferred three-year internship/working experience in an E-commerce capacity. 

  • Previous core and reservation, digital marketing, and hospitality and sales experience preferred. 

  • Strong analytical mind for business interpretation.

Schedule & Hours:

  • This is a full-time position  

  • The working hours will primarily be daytime, during weekdays and weekends.
