Coordinator, Corporate Public Relations

This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic, award-winning team at the global corporate headquarters of one the world’s most iconic luxury hospitality brands.  In this newly created role reporting to the Manager, Corporate PR and Earned Performance, this position will help to drive Four Seasons consumer PR strategy forward through insights-led innovation and effective media relations strategy for the Four Seasons brand and lines of business. 

This person will play a key supporting role in the oversight and project management of a Press room renovation project and help to maintain our leadership position through increased media engagement with this key media relations channel.  The successful candidate will also contribute content for a variety of property guidance and upskill materials, including latest PR performance and media relations best practices, and support ongoing collaboration with the global PR Agency network.

You’ll assist the team to move towards key project milestones, providing both administrative and functional support.  This will include day-to-day liaison with several agency partners and key vendors, and working cross-functionally with a diverse, global team of internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills (written and verbal), be a motivated self-starter, and have an innate curiosity and eagerness to learn. They should have a keen eye for detail, and an ability to work under tight deadlines in fast-paced environments.  Strong project management skills are essential.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Corporate Public Relations

  • Support the implementation of innovative consumer PR strategies that build brand preference through earned Tier 1 media coverage and advance leadership in Share of Voice (SOV) and Share of Prominence (SOP)
  • Participate in global agency calls to connect and understand the current media landscape in key markets, align on brand pitching priorities and facilitate corporate updates.
  • Coordinate monthly media market insight updates and editorial calendar updates by agency partners.
  • Support the development of strategic PR proposals and presentations.

Performance Measurement, Insights and Reporting

  • Support the maintenance of shared media monitoring dashboards and tool solutions, and industry research to support the development of insight-based strategies, corporate press releases and pitches.
  • Support monthly brand and Line of Business (LOB) reporting deliverables, as well as monthly Property Commercial Scorecard KPI (PR Impact) reporting, in collaboration with vendor partners, Regional PR leads and the Global Analytics team.
  • Coordinate monthly PR agency performance tracking and reporting, including YOY performance analysis.
  • Coordinate the PR recap report process for global brand initiatives, capturing agency-generated PR results according to defined KPIs.
  • Support Corporate PR Managers in managing PR Newswire and Adobe dashboard earned media coverage insights reporting.
  • Support Corporate PR Managers in curating owned Press Room media engagement insights at the enterprise level, to achieve a holistic owned/earned view.

Media Relations Resources

  • Provide support for drafting, proofing, and editing of corporate brand announcements and pitches.
  • Maintain Tier 1 global media lists, brokering regular updates by the global agency network and media monitoring partner.
  • Track deliverables against media relations briefs
  • Support Corporate PR Managers in facilitating media requests and media inquiries, inputting into recommendations on opportunities received.

Internal Team Communications and Administration

  • Support project management, day-to-day operations and planning
  • Document management and calendarizing
  • Internal communications to team, properties and other stakeholders, as required.
  • Note capture during PR team meetings and brainstorming.

Press Room

  • Support project management for a key Press Room renovation project to enhance enterprise media relations efforts.
  • Support audit process of Four Seasons Press Room and competitor Press Rooms to help inform optimization road map.
  • Stakeholder and vendor liaison support.

Governance And Best Practice Resources

  • Support the development of best practice guidelines and toolkits in collaboration with Regional PR leads, senior PR Directors and global agency partners.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sessions and webinars to support upskilling at the property-level.

Corporate PR Tools

  • Collaborate with the Coordinator, Corporate Communications and Coordinator, Corporate social media to support the maintenance and optimization of the internal PR and Social Media digital hub and associated newsletter, to ensure ongoing relevance as a resource to the Corporate team and community of property PR Directors across the portfolio.

What You Bring:

  • Undergraduate degree/post graduate certificate or equivalent in Public Relations, Marketing Communications, or a related discipline.
  • 1-2 years progressive experience in a corporate or agency environment is an asset.
  • Exceptional technical skills, including superior Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive skills.
  • Experience with media monitoring technology including working with Cision and other media monitoring partners.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • A strong understanding of Public Relations and media relations strategy as part of an integrated marketing communications effort.
  • Detail-oriented with strong project coordination capabilities
  • Results oriented with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to take direction, as well as be self-directed.
  • Positive attitude and high degree of flexibility, resourcefulness, energy and creativity.
  • Strong team player, ability to work cross-functionally.

This role will be a Hybrid working model, which will require 3 days per week in the Four Seasons Corporate Office located at 1165 Leslie Street, Toronto, Ontario #LI-Hybrid
