The Four Seasons Resort Nevis is looking for suitable qualified applicants to fill the position of Cook II. The successful candidate will report to the Chef de Partie/ Sous Chef

Essential Functions 

  • Work in a busy environment and organize the station to the best capabilities in the restaurant. 
  • Train younger cooks and supervise other employees to ensure proper standards. 
  • Check and complete mise en place and pars and set up the station in the restaurant. 
  • Complete requisition, obtain proper signatures and submit to the purchasing department. 
  • Communicate with the Sous Chef and Chef de Partie, regarding menu items, problem situations or shortages. 
  • Work closely with standard recipes and plate presentations in order to maintain high standards of quality in production and presentation. 
  • Maintain a good an healthy work relationship with other employees, providing instructions and encouragement as needed. 
  • Store food products proper as to our standards. 
  • Ensure a clean, neat and organized work area. 

Skills and Abilities  

Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language. 

High school graduate. 

Culinary degree. 

Four to six years’ experience in hotels or other similar facilities.
