PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Convention Services Manager is to ensure the complete coordination of all conventions and convention meetings working closely with hotel departments to ensure the successful planning, set‐up, and service of client's stay.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Client Liaison Extraordinaire: Serves as the primary point of contact between clients and all departments within the property, ensuring seamless communication throughout the pre-planning and on-site phases.

  • Operational Excellence: Manage operational functions within the department in alignment with our strategic plan and vision, contributing to the overall success of the property.

  • Guest Service Guru: Oversee the delivery and measurement of guest service within your assigned department(s), upholding our company's core service standards and brand attributes.

  • Event Coordination Maestro: Collaborate directly with clients on room setup, décor, cost, billing details, and other program requirements, ensuring their vision is brought to life.

  • Facilities Management Pro: Ensure that all necessary meeting facilities are reserved as needed, guaranteeing smooth and efficient event execution.

  • Client Entertainment Ambassador: Host prospective and existing clients visiting the hotel, providing top-notch customer entertainment such as dining in our renowned hotel restaurants and accompanying them to shows.

AN IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent work experience.

  • Proven experience in event planning and management, preferably in a hotel or convention setting.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and vendors.

  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail, ensuring flawless execution of events.

  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate client needs.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and event management software.

  • Leadership qualities with a collaborative approach to team management.
