Job Description

Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort is looking for a professional Conference and Events Organiser to join our team.

  • Permanent full-time position
  • 38 hours per week
  • Salary $75,000 per year plus superannuation 

Duties:

 

  • Plan and execute events, including corporate meetings, conferences, trade shows, and social events.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Liaise with clients on the day of their event.
  • Responding to inquiries concerning services provided and costs for room and equipment hire, catering and related services.
  • Meeting with clients to discuss their needs and outlining package options to meet these needs.
  • Arranging and coordinating services, such as conference facilities, catering, signage, displays, audiovisual equipment, accommodation, transport and social events, for participants.
  • Organising registration of participants.
  • Negotiating the type and costs of services to be provided within budget.
  • Overseeing work by contractors and reporting on variations to work orders

Qualifications

  • Qualified Conference and Events Organiser
  • Diploma in Events Management or Management (not mandatory but preferable)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ work experience as a professional Conference and Events Organiser
  • Exceptional internal and external stakeholder management skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines
  • Ability to fully manage all aspects of an event
