PRIMARY PURPOSE:

It is the primary responsibility of the Maintenance Engineer to maintain and repair all equipment and to assist in the daily operations and activities which they have been assigned and provide administrative and technical support as directed by department management.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain and repair all equipment related to the successful operation of boilers, compressors, refrigeration equipment, generators and all equipment that is driven by steam, electricity, gas, air, diesel, water or any other power developing energy which has to do with or is related to the operation of all mechanical equipment

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair ride systems and auxiliary equipment

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and hydraulic problems on ride systems and auxiliary equipment

  • Complete work orders

  • Walk daily routes and make necessary repairs

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • EPA Certification

  • Driver's License

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Able to use diagnostic tools, such as but not limited to: Amp Meters, Voltmeters, OHM meters, compound gauges and pressure gauges etc.

  • Able to work from blueprints and schematics, and interpret manufactures guidelines for the operation and maintenance of theme park and related equipment

  • General knowledge of mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, money handling

  • Knowledgeable of hand power tools

  • Proficient at inspecting, troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and installing amusement park rides and auxiliary equipment (in accordance with ASTM and Clark County ATS standards) and facilities fixtures, furnishings, and equipment

  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms

  • Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts

  • Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards
