Our Open Opportunity 

The Catering Manager ­­­­­­­is an essential member of the Catering and Hotel’s leadership team which is dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. 

We are looking for individuals who possess a high level of attention to detail and a strong work ethic.  The ability to multitask and prioritize is also essential for this position. 

The Catering Manager reports to the Assistant Director of Catering & Conference Services to sell and service events and act as the main liaison between the client and hotel for all client. Catering Managers will secure and service Catering Business from social and corporate market, through promotion, and prospecting, while maintaining standards and revenue.

Successful candidates will be a willing team player, comfortable with electronic systems and willing to accept assignments on a need basis, in order to promote teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for achievement of revenue goal based on social / corporate catering market
  • Prospect for new & repeat business
  • Negotiate contracts & proposals for future clients
  • Conduct site inspections, tastings & service events
  • Create BEO's, menus, floorplans and other administrative tasks
  • Liaise with Banquets, Kitchen & other operational departments to ensure smooth execution of events

Preferred Qualifications and Skills 

  • Ideal candidates will have one to three years previous experience as Catering Sales manager experience.  
  • Verbal and written command of the English language required. 
  • Strong selling and interpersonal skills 
  • High level of creativity.     
  • Service Passion for Luxury Hospitality 
  • Requires attention to detail and problem-solving skills 
  • Role requires flexibility to be on-call during evening and weekends at times.
