JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for overseeing daily operations of the cage area.

 

DIRECTLY SUPERVISES: Cage Cashier,Main Bank Cashier,Cage Cashier II, DR Cage Cashier II – Cage Cashier Main Bank, DR Cage Cashier – Cage Cashier II

 

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • The Cage Supervisor will provide excellent internal and externalguest service.
  • Coordinates and supervises the controls and procedures of the Cage Cashiers; to include the securing of company funds and accountability of all monies and routingof paperwork.
  • Responsible for scheduling of team members in the cage and ensuring coverage levels are adequate to provide excellent customer service.
  • Resolves customer complaints regarding cage matters and works with other casino departments to facilitate resolution on team member issues.
  • Responsible for enforcement of gaming regulations, internal controls and company policies and procedures.
  • Performs functions of main banker or cage cashier when needed

 

EDUCATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE:

Associates degree (A.S.) from two-year college or university; or one to two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous supervisory experience preferred.

COMPETENCIES:

Must be computer literate. Ability to perform assigned duties in highly interruptive conditions and under constant pressure. Must be able to compute mathematical totals quickly and accurately.

Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent guest service skills. Ability to analyze Main Bank transactions. Abilityto maintain accuracyof cash and supporting documentation. Ability to train Cashiers. Ability to use good judgment in intense situation.

SOCIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Must have an outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic attitude. Must be comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with our guests.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually high. Must be able to work in a smoking environment.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must be able to obtain and maintain an Indiana Gaming Commission License.

ACCESS TO CONFIDENTIAL/PROPRIATARY INFORMATION:

Must regularly access patron personal data including credit information, the player data base, financial records, and personnel/payroll records.

ACCESS TO GAMING FLOOR:

Requires access to general areas of the gaming facility and the cage, count rooms, and main bank areas.
