The Cloud Engineering team is the team that provides products and infrastructure to enable our application teams at Choice to develop rapidly and get to production. As a key member of our Cloud Engineering Department, you will help our Cloud Engineering teams deliver stronger products, analyze our existing capabilities to make them better, and partner with our internal customers to understand and communicate their needs.

Your Responsibilities

Gain thorough understanding of customer requests via analysis, and discussions with customer.

Create/maintain project and product documentation.

Be the “Voice of the Customer” for Cloud Engineering teams and represent customer needs as products are being developed.

Assist with resiliency operational support, system behavior diagnosis, and troubleshooting efforts.

Schedule and facilitate team meetings such as backlog refinement, scope discussions, requirements gathering.

Participates in process improvement.

Assists in API documentation and data mapping.
Your Experience, Skills & Competencies
-
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience
-
At least 4 years’ experience in agile software or infrastructure development

Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Demonstrated knowledge with one or more of the following technologies preferred:
-
One or more scripting languages (Python, Bash, Rubby, PowerShell, or Groovy)

Configuration management and deployment automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Salt, or Chef.

Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure
-
Excellent interpersonal skills and demeanor
-
Strong presentation skills, including expressing technical concepts in business terms to both technical and non-technical audiences

Demonstrates key competencies to include Action Oriented, Communicates Effectively, and Nimble Learning
Your Team
This is an individual contributor role that will report to the Senior Manager, Product Management. You will have 2 peer teammate(s) and collaborate with cross-functional departments regularly.
Your Work Location
As our Business Systems Analyst 3, you will be based in our beautiful, state-of-the-art technology hub in Scottsdale, AZ. In October 2021, Choice opened a newly constructed world class technology center.
Right now, our associates in Scottsdale, AZ are working in a hybrid environment, up to 4 days per week in the office and virtual from your home office the remaining days. We provide flexibility and encourage ongoing communication with your leadership to establish expectations about your unique needs.
