Job Description

The Boutique Supervisor will work together with the Spa Leadership to manage the hotel boutique operations, overseeing staff, maintaining cost controls while ensuring the highest level of personalized, friendly and outstanding guest/member service that exceeds expectations. Boutique supervisor will maintain a professional image and will make sure that the team maintain professional image, answer boutique telephone calls, effectively handle all guest/member requests and provide all the information needed to close a tailored sale. Train staff to develop the processes in an excellent way. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Ensure opening the Boutique procedures are well executed, review daily check list and transactions of the day prior
  • Lead monthly forecasting and annual budgeting for the boutique and ensure the boutique are maintained to the highest of standards
  • Maintain all inventory and amenities for boutique operations
  • Provide dynamic services to ensure guests are “wowed” with Bermudian hospitality while overseeing strategic and day-to-day running of boutique
  • Ensure boutique team leaves guests with a lasting impression by treating all guests with the utmost courtesy; providing personalized and friendly service
  • Ensure all boutique products are correctly and according display as “Rosewood Bermuda & Tuckers Point” standards
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of each product area, train the staff about the products and see that programs are continually updated
  • Coach, train and discipline team members
  • Complete commission calculation for all Boutique associates to get paid on time and accurately.
  • Achieve and exceed sales and customer service goals
  • Resolve any guest requests in a timely, friendly and professional manner
  • Interact with guests always displaying proper etiquette following LQA and FORBES standards
  • Organize and lead Trunk shows
  • Work together with the appointed retail procurement manager and/or consultant to select the best products without holding on to an excessive store inventory
  • Organize sales and promotions to clear unsold and slow-moving stock
  • Uphold the highest standards of courtesy and conduct exceeding expectations
  • Recommend tactics to consolidate and streamline boutique guest operations
  • Stay current on hospitality and best practices and Retail / Industry trends
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Assist Spa Management with producing reports from SpaSoft system. Ensure that Boutique SpaSoft is fully update and that transfered between retail areas are well documents and accounted for.
  • Flexibility with assisting spa reception duties as needed, especially when property is slowing down.
  • Inform leadership team of desired products which we may need to add/change
  • Monitor and adjust operation times if to fit guest needs.
  • Responsible for Beach Retail operation

·       Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.

·       Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks.

·       Must work in a safe, prudent and organized manner.

·       Must have basic knowledge of computer programs including Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Office administration, Internet applications.

·       Retail selling and contributing to meeting monthly spa retail sales goals.

·       Must have a commitment to follow all local and corporate policies and procedures as they relate to the Spa, Boutique and hotel.

·       Must be able to relate to all levels of management and associates.

·       Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

·       Must have technical awareness and knowledge of a wide variety of products.

·       Must be open to learning about brands and concepts that derive from other cultures.

·       Must have knowledge of leadership techniques.

·       Must be capable of training and be train.

·       Working with the Spa management team to achieve optimal customer service and also to meet and discuss issues, concerns and praises for the staff.

·       Must be familiar with inventory control and five-star customer care.

·       Must have the ability to remain levelheaded under challenging situations.

·       Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality of all guests and hotel information at all times.

·       Ability to work cohesively with other departments as part of a team.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

Education:

Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.  Minimum High School education,

Experience:

Boutique Retail leadership segment preferred

Licenses or Certificates:

Expert computer literacy in Microsoft Office, PMS and Spa Software system knowledge preferred
