JOB SUMMARY:

The Assistant Casino Manager-Slots is responsible for supervising Slot Staff, verifying transactions and payouts, and assisting the Casino Manager-Slots.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  

  • Responsible for monitoring staffing levels, bank/floor assignments, daily and weekly schedules to include breaks.
  • Directly responsible for training slot employees, providing each with the knowledge and appropriate direction to perform his/her responsibilities.
  • Monitors compliance with all established company, department, and regulatory agency rules and regulations; provides training feedback, and disciplinary action regarding these rules and regulations.
  • Provides each employee with clear directives needed to meet departmental standards and achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Exhibits sound decision-making qualities, motivates personnel and exhibits effective supervisory skills.
  • Assist in performing jackpot and fill transactions. Possesses a thorough working knowledge of the various types of slot machines, their functions, malfunctions and payout schedules.
  • Maintains security of all games, money and employees.
  • Takes advantage of opportunity to build long-term relationships with customers. Routinely strives to build and maintain rapport with slot players and handles customer disputes, making every effort to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Ensures that all performance reviews, disciplinary notices, and superior job performance notices are complete, on time and accurate.
  • Monitors the performance of all employees and provides training and coaching as necessary.
  • Responsible for making sure there is management on the floor and available to employees and guests at all times.
  • Makes recommendations to the Casino Manager-Slots and/or the Director of Slot Service to improve the efficiency of the department and build business.
  • Builds a rapport and coordinates daily functions with support service departments. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Work requires a minimum age of 21.
  • Work requires minimum of 1-2 years casino operation experience, preferably in Slot Operations.
  • Previous knowledge of casino rules, regulations and procedures pertinent to slot operations is preferred.
  • Work requires effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner.
  • Work requires knowledge of computer programs including: Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows.
  • Work requires ability to perform basic math functions quickly and accurately.
  • Work requires flexibility to work various shifts.
  • Must present a well-groomed and professional appearance.
