THE JOB:

As an Assistant Chef, you will play a pivotal role in the culinary team, contributing to the creation and execution of exceptional French and Italian-influenced dishes. You will work closely with the Executive Chef to ensure that all culinary operations run smoothly and meet the highest standards of quality and consistency

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Food Preparation: Assisting the head chef in preparing meals for the employee dining room. This involves tasks such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and cooking proteins in mass production.

  • Menu Planning: Collaborating with the head chef to plan menus that are nutritious, varied, and appealing to the employees.

  • Food Safety and Hygiene: Adhering strictly to food safety and hygiene standards to maintain a clean and safe working environment and prevent foodborne illnesses.

  • Inventory Management: Assisting in monitoring and managing inventory levels of food and supplies to ensure that ingredients are always available for meal preparation.

  • Supporting the Culinary Team: Training and supervising kitchen staff, ensuring that all team members are proficient in their roles and committed to upholding culinary standards.

WHAT YOU WILL HAVE:

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent.

  • Two years of relevant supervisory experience in Food & Beverage or an equivalent culinary role.

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT:

  • Previous experience working in a fine dining restaurant, with a focus on French and Italian-influenced cuisine.

  • Proven leadership abilities with experience supervising or managing a team.
