Mandalay Bay invites passionate individuals to join our team as an Apprentice Bartender. Rooted in warmth and hospitality, our culture ensures that every guest receives the utmost care and attention. As a member of our team, you'll work closely with experienced bartenders to deliver exceptional service and maintain the high standards for all our bar areas.
The Role:
As an Apprentice Bartender, you will assist the bartender and maintain the appearance of the bar. You'll work at various bars around the property, performing all responsibilities at each location. Your welcoming smile and service will set the stage for guest experiences, creating WOW memories they will cherish.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Assist the bartender with drink preparation, mixes, and garnishes.
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the bar area.
- Ensure sufficient stock of all items and products in designated work areas.
- Properly set up, label, stock, and deliver alcohol, non-alcoholic beverages, supplies, glasses, paper products, garnishes, and ice.
- Clean equipment, tools, supplies, and polish glassware to ensure equipment is in working order.
- Perform opening and closing duties based on shift assignment.
- Promote and maintain the highest level of service to all guests, responding effectively to inquiries and needs.
- Resolve guest complaints within the scope of authority, escalating when necessary.
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in a comparable position.
- Proficient in working in a high-volume setting.
- Prior involvement in fine dining establishments preferred.
- Familiarity with premium cocktails, wines, and spirits.
- Ability to accommodate a flexible on-call schedule.
- Comfortable working in various locations on the property.
- Ability to lift 20 – 30 pounds.
