Accounting Specialist (Las Vegas) | Caesers

Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:  The Accounting Specialist is responsible for supporting Caesars Sportsbook in the daily reconciliation of system reporting including regulatory assignments including mail pay and tax filings.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • High volume data entry
  • Investigate cash variances
  • Work with operations to solve any discrepancies
  • Log mail pay for processing
  • Remit reoccurring tax payments and filings
  • Complete daily audit of gaming reports 
  • Log and submit all reporting variances
  • Respond to internal/external inquiries by gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the accounting department and managers as required
  • Prepared to cover for and support colleagues when required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 0-3 years of gaming accounting experience
  • Accounting or related degree a plus
  • Understands finance and has experience working in an accounting function
  • Experience with office work, preferably in a sports betting company
  • Diligent and with an eye for detail
  • STRONG Excel skills, macro knowledge a plus
  • Working knowledge of Oracle accounting software a plus
  • Ability to work independently
  • Accuracy a must
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative
  • Enjoy providing a service
  • Keen to expand their expertise
  • Works well with people at all levels

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to sit for extended periods
  • Must be able to type and talk on the phone for extended periods
  • Regular attendance in the office
