Job Description

1. General – Responsible for learning to:

• Responsible for HVAC maintenance of all facilities on property. Identify, diagnose, and repair items related to HVAC maintenance of such facilities.
• Advanced to expert Knowledge of HVAC systems. Ability to diagnose problems with the systems and repair as necessary 
• Analyze the need for preventative maintenance, design a schedule of such maintenance and perform preventative maintenance as scheduled.
• Ensure the safety and security of all guests and employees. Keep work area in a clean and orderly manner.
• Have complete knowledge of all casino events and promotional activities, and assist as needed.
• Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and Company policies in an ethical manner and empower and require others to do the same. 
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including late nights, weekends, and holidays; shifts may change.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or reasonably requested by any member of management.

1. Operating Principles: Ensure at all times operating principles are being adhered to: Clean – Keep all areas clean and pristine; Safe – Follow all safety policies and procedures; Friendly – Use customer courtesy skills of Family Style Service to provide superior guest service; Fun – Be interactive with all internal and external guests while maintaining professional standards.
2. Tools and Technology:  Two-way radio, maintenance related types of hand tools, power tools and machinery, forklift, ladders, scaffolding, cleaning and maintenance chemicals, safety and personal protection equipment, and personal computer.
3. Licensure:  Must be able to obtain and maintain a 1055 Slot/Cardroom/Pari-Mutuel Individual Combo Slot License.  Must be at least 21 years of age.  Must possess valid driver’s license and maintain good driving record. 

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Experience:  A high school diploma or GED. Vocational training in job related field or Journeyman’s certificate. Five years previous experience preferred in HVAC field.
2. Knowledge:  Knowledgeable of all mechanical and electrical aspects of HVAC systems to include liquid chillers, cooling towers, fans, motors, pumps, building automation systems, VAVs, ERUs, AHU’s, and FCUs. Knowledge of maintaining and operating various types of ventilation and filter systems, humidity and exhaust controls, motor control centers and starters. Maintains an inventory of parts and materials. Ability to properly evacuate systems and change compressors. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.  Knowledge of applicable OSHA standards and safety measures. 
3. Skills:  Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools.  Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.  Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it. Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.  Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.  Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job. Monitoring/Assessing performance of oneself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.

Work Environment:  The team member is within a casino environment, exposed to bright flashing lights, noise, smoke and varied temperatures. Use of elevator and stairs.  A restaurant environment with varied noise levels, variable temperatures, wet areas, and smoke.  A kitchen environment with a variety of workstations and storage areas, exposed to varied temperatures, smoke, steam, noise, and wet areas.  May also work in a banquet/showroom environment with varied noise levels and temperatures, wet areas, and exposure to low-level lights. May occasionally be in an outdoor environment, exposed to varied weather conditions.
