 Food & Beverage Supervisor

 

Mission: To be responsible for the effective supervision of the Food and Beverage team members as specified in the Meliá White House Food & Beverage Standard Operating Procedures. To also develop, maintain, improve and train the Meliá White House Food & Beverage standard operating procedure.

 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

·      Make sure all food and beverage staff are familiar with the hotel’s Health and Safety Policy and follow safe working practices at all times within the department. Also, ensure that all staff have a full understanding of the current Liquor and Licensing Laws and regulations related to food hygiene and health and safety.

·      Have an operational knowledge of all food items, dishes, wines and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages served in all Food & Beverage departments.

·      Be an effective team leader in the department and ensure efficient control of costs at all times.

·      Handle guests and customers complaints with precision, speed, and professionalism.

·      Be involved in implementing Food and Beverage promotions.

·      Assign all the staff to the mandatory training and ensure that the rota is done according to the training. Ensure all the e-learning courses are completed in a timely manner and assist the junior staff if they have difficulties.

·      Always maintain professional, effective, and motivated working relationships, taking into account differences in cultures, backgrounds, and individual personalities.

 

What are we looking? 

·      Customer service skills.

·      Experience as a team leader or supervisor.

·      Be fluent in English

 

 The successful candidate must already have eligibility to work in the UK.
