Job Description

About the role:

  • Assists Chef De Cuisine to oversee the operations and lead the team to ensure flawless guest experience.
  • Prepare and cook a variety of Japanese dishes, strongly advance of sushi and sashimi concept.
  • Supervise and delegate duties; Ensure brand standards are maintained.
  • Liaise with Chef De Cuisine to ensure the highest standard of food quality and visual appeal.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient food production and timely service.
  • Checks outlet’s cleanliness to ensure that it complies with health, safety and hygiene policy.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar position in an international luxury brand.
  • Remote island-based work experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.
  • Deep understanding of traditional and modern Japanese cooking techniques and ingredients.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, flexible working hours ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressured environment.
  • Strong multicultural awareness and ability to work with people from diverse cultures.
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
