Job Description

Novotel Sydney Darling Square is thrilled to introduce a new position, and we are actively seeking a highly motivated and results-orientated Conference & Events Sales Manager to join our dynamic team. The chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in optimising revenue while overseeing the Conference & Events team. Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, you will be responsible for the development of the conference & events sales team and drive revenue strategies to achieve targets. Your responsibilities will encompass the development of new business opportunities, requiring a proactive approach and initiative. This position involves a proactive element, making it an ideal fit for those who thrive on the excitement of seeking and hunting out new business opportunities. Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you will demonstrate the ability to excel within a busy operation and be able to multitask with a warm friendly approach.

You will be a self-motivator, with sales-driven attitude and has a passion for developing and nurturing win-win relationships with all stakeholders. Enthusiasm for selling is key, as is the crucial skill of leading a small team. You will ideally have knowledge of Delphi, Res Diary (not essential).

Your success will be underpinned by excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong time management, a professional telephone manner, a high standard of personal presentation and, above all, your commitment to delivering exemplary and consistent service to clients.

You will excel in the intricacies of events and are adept at seamlessly navigate multifaceted aspects of events planning and delivery. Your hunger to be successful will be one of your key attributes.
