The Executive Pastry Chef ­­­­­­­is an essential member of Food & Beverage leadership team which is dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests and employees.

We are looking for individuals who possess a high level of attention to detail and a strong work ethic.  The ability to multitask and prioritize is also essential for this position.

The Exectuvie Pastry Chef is responsible for creating an environment where motivated people want to join, learn, do their best and advance, also he is dedicated to preparing specialized innovative cuisine per guest orders in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment.

Successful candidates will be a willing team player, comfortable with electronic systems and willing to accept assignments on as need basis, in order to promote team work. Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Supervising the day-to-day running of the Pastry Kitchen

Service Passion

Contribute to our environment with a positive and friendly attitude

Communicate with team members to ensure the highest level of personalized service

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Applicants are required to have five to seven years of operational kitchen experience with a diversity of culinary experience and a proven track record in fine dining.
  • Supervisory and management experience is required and culinary qualifications are essential.
  • Current Illinois Food Handlers Certificate is required
  • Previous experience in a luxury hotel, or similar environment Michelin or James Beard recognition is a plus.
  • Second language preferred but not required.
  • Strong leadership, training, motivation and communication skills.
  • Strong command of the English language
  • Requires attention to detail and problem solving skills, as well as a passion for customer service.
  • Successful candidates must possess legal work authorization in the United States
