Job Description

FUNCTION  

The Cage Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Cage Manager in the successful operation of the cage and ensuring that guest have a favorable gaming           experience.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

 Line:

Responsible to the Cage Manager for successful performance of assigned duties.

Responsible for the supervision and performance of  the cage and cashiers during shift.                                                                                                                                      

Staff:

Assists and advises other departments and company personnel, as necessary, to ensure the success of the department.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for supervising the cage operation.

Ensure the safety and security of employees and customers.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Review staffing levels to maintain full employment.  

Delegate authority and assign responsibilities.

Develop staff, ensure that all policies and procedures are being followed, train and evaluate.

Review department financial data.

Review cage activities and promotions with Cage Manager.

 Meet with departmental directors and managers as necessary.

Coordinates internal controls ISR Bank Services Act and gaming regulations.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Other duties as assigned.

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality relative to financial data, policies, procedures, internal controls, and casino operations.

Through various oral and written reports to the Cage Manager.

Through achievement of performance goals.

Ability to analyze and interpret departmental needs and results.

Ability to solve complex problems.

Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures in an interruptive environment.

Good communication and public relation skills.

Broad variety of tasks and deadlines requires an irregular work schedule..

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

Two to five years experience in cage operations and supervision 

2-year degree in related fields or equivalent work experience preferred but not required

Valid MS Gaming License

Complete Family Style Service Training Modules 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS

 Office environment.

 Casino environment exposed to smoke, bright lights, and noise.  May include boat and/or floating barge.   

High rise hotel and atrium.
